πŸŽ‰ 2020 πŸŽ‰

First Blog Post, Check.

It’s January 6, 2020, 1:11 am and if you’ve ever received a letter from me, then you know how much I love writing the insignificant details like the exact moment and sometimes location when and where I begin my letter. This photo is from yesterday, though it looks a lot like right now.

I was reluctant to start a blog for a really long time because I thought I wouldn’t know what to write about if I could only write posts related to ClassFit; however, over the last few weeks – honestly, more like months – I’ve been feeling more and more drawn to merge my personal life and my business life.

Hence, if you follow me on the gram or Facebook, then you know I just did this the other day.

It feels liberating af.

A quote from Simon Sinek inspired these initial feelings:

β€œThe goal is not to do business with everybody who needs what you have. The goal is to do business with people who believe what you believe.”

Now it’s 2020 and even though I feel like I have established myself as an online entrepreneur, it’s been really tough trying to determine when, where and how I should I expose myself as a CEO or a typical 30-year-old millennial.

I am

A 30-year-old millennial turning my dream into a reality by building my vision with ClassFit.

A coach who helps teachers to create their best life.

A crazy pup lover – especially the big pups.

A daughter and wife to the most unbelievably supportive parents and husband.

A cousin to 27 goons. A niece to 12 crazy aunts and uncles.

A University of Florida graduate who bleeds orange and green (it’s all about the U, baby). A 305 native living in North Carolina.

A massage therapist. A runner. A rock climber. A yogi.

A soul filled with wanderlust.

And I believe

Being and feeling strong is empowering af.

Teachers are a form of angels on earth.

Nothing is as bad as it seems.

Crying is not a weakness. Vulnerability is a strength.

Energy flows where attention goes.

There is always a lesson to learn from pain. Always.

You’re never too old to try something new or to return to old hobbies.

Everyone should have a growth mindset & be a lifelong learner.

We can be the change we want to see in the world.

People who get offended easily by cursing probably don’t like me.

Love never fails.

So if you’re still here with me, I’m excited to share more with you moving forward.

My intention is to share experiences, reflections, perspective, research and statistics with you to inspire you to practice self-care, develop a growth mindset, and build yourself into a stronger and healthier leader.

‘Til next time,

Such a great way to start my year. This quote is exactly what I felt when I saw your page. Makes me want to be even more involved. Thanks for sharing!
